I was the God of the village looking after my people, choosing their mates and their careers and providing food clothing and shelter as well as entertainment for each and every villager. My kids showed me how to look online and find “cheats” that help you to solve the puzzles, unlock powers and treasures and progress in the game.  I was back and forth from the cheat site to the game all day long.  The cheats were more addicting than the game in many ways. Tuning me in to buried relics hidden right under my villager’s feet and secrets that helped me excel and conquer any obstacle thrown my way. It was the ultimate power!

In life I’ve found little tools, and cheats that can have the same influence on my life as the virtual villager cheats had on the game.  One of my favorite books is The Game of Life and How to Play It by Florence Scovel Shinn.  The opening lines of the book are as follows…

Most people consider life a battle, but it is not a battle, it is a game.

It is a game, however, which cannot be played successfully without the knowledge of spiritual law, and the Old and New Testaments give the rules of the game with wonderful clearness.

I love that! Yes! Life is a game to be played and enjoyed.  It is not something you struggle through just hoping to survive, it is an experience you can revel and excel in.  The spiritual laws give us the  “cheats”  for the game.  I am all for having an edge.  In fact something I proclaim daily is that I have favor (advantage) and grace over my life.  I love an advantage and anything that brings magic, ease, and abundance to my life is going in my keep file.

I have created this blog with the intention of collecting cheats and insights that allow me to be the  God of my life, as we all are, and have fun doing it.  U.S. Anderson wrote the book Three Magic Words.  At the end of book (spoiler alert!) he finally lets us know what the three words are …. “You are God “ (there is nothing but you).  That’s great news!  There are no limitations, only possibilities.  It is YOUR game. So play! Fun is good. :)
